Inspiration and Ideas
I am a Slovak author – graphic designer and illustrator / visual artist living in Zurich since 2014. I have previously lived and worked in Czech Republic and USA. My main interest as a graphic designer is to use art to bring scientific information closer to public – working on this task, I have been cooperating with Life Sciences Switzerland since 2016 – this opportunity lead me to explore more about presenting scientific topics in forms of illustration and design, and I set a personal goal to became a fluent translator of science into a language of pictures.

As a visual artist and illustrator, I also take my inspiration from literature, and sometimes question social stereotypes. Collecting ideas along my career and life path, I find inspiration in human and animal physiology as well as in botany and environmental sciences and my beloved literature and pour all these inputs into series of small, but very detailed drawings.
